Experience: 43 years in archaeology, 43 years with ASC

SCOTTY THOMPSON has served ASC in various capacities over the years. Between 1976 and 2012, he worked on over 100 archaeological surveys, as project coordinator on 48 of them, and on 40 excavation projects. During most of his career with ASC, Scotty has specialized in field mapping, cartography, photography and illustration. A number of his maps and graphics have been published in the archaeological literature. These days he is ASC’s Computer Hardware Manager and an occasional project coordinator or participant on local Caltrans maintenance projects. He also helps to maintain ASC’s corporate memory about projects from earlier days, since he has been with ASC throughout most of its history.
