SAMANTHA DOLLINGER has 6 years of project management experience and 10 years of experience conducting field studies on a vareity of prehistoric and historic-era sites in California. She has been the Small Contracts Coordinator since 2021, managing and supervising small-scale compliance projects in Northern California. From 2013 to 2014, she worked as an archaeological technician at Mojave National Preserve and Joshua Tree National Park. While completing her master’s degree at Sonoma State University, Samantha worked as an Administrative Assistant at the Northwest Information Center digitizing reports and site records in ArcGIS, and as an archaeological technician for the ASC. Between 2016 and 2021, she reviewed archaeological survey reports and timber harvest plans for compliance with Forest Practice Rules, and reviewed and conducted CEQA-compliant archaeological studies for the CAL FIRE Northern Region Office. She also curated the CAL FIRE Northern Region’s archaeological collection. Samantha has taught the Survey and Site Recording Methods and Cultural Resource Management Internships/Seminars for graduate students since 2017. She has also taught a Hands-On Archaeology course for 6-8th grades for the EXCEL Program, and conducted educational outreach for 1st and 6th grades since 2016. Ms. Dollinger has authored and co-authored over 40 technical reports and five professional presentations. Samantha has advanced experience using Geographic Information Systems including ArcMap, as well as Adobe and Microsoft software. Samantha has worked on Santa Catalina Island, in the Mojave and Colorado Deserts, and throughout California. Her topical specializations include cultural landscapes, Mojave archaeology, rock art, and shell analysis.
