David A. Fredrickson

While I did not know Dave very well, I had great respect for him. We were fellow directors of Institutes at SSU. I always respected and still do, the quality of the Center he initiated and directed for many years. It is a tribute to Dave and those who followed him that the Center he started still stands today. Due to his dedication many hundreds of undergraduate and graduate students learned to love anthropology. He was the consummate professor-practitioner and will be missed by many.
